Lake Manyara

Lake Manyara is 945 above the sea level. There is more  than 55 mammal & 365 bird species in Lake Manyara. Lake Manyara has more interesting things to offer from Tree climbing Lions, underground water forest, hippo pool, the escapement of rift valley, hot springs, lake Manyara itself and many animals and birds all around.

All game drives start at the entrance gate, which lies on the northern boundary near mto wa mbu. From the entrance gate the main road for several kilometers through a cool, lush, mature groundwater forest dominated by large ficus trees ad tangle of green epiphytes . With appropriate jungles noises supplied by outsized silvery-cheeked hornbills, this is one part of the northern safari circuit that might conjure up images of Tarzan swinging into view.

Some of the animals that you can see in Lake Manyara are Elephant, Hippo, Giraffe, Zebra, Leopard, Lion, Cheetah, Impala, Buffalo, Eland, Red Duiker,Spotted Hyena, Baboon, Bush pig, Coke's Hartbeest, Warthog, Aardwolf, African wild Cat and many more.some of the birds that can  spot in lake Manyara are Grey heron, Great White Egret, Marabou Stork, Yellow Billed Btork, Sacred Ibis, African Fish Eagle, Lesser Flamingo Grey Crown Crane, Hammerkop  Great White Pelican, African Skimmer, Montagu's Harrier, Tawney Eagle,Martial Eagle,African Marsh Harrier, European Bee-eater, Osprey,Black Kite, African Hawk Eagle, Lappet Faced Vulture,Spotted Eagle Owl and many more.

For where to stay there is Hotels and Lodges both inside and outside the park. There is also a public campsite near the gate and three special camp sites situated in the bush park.
